Hok Lai Timber (M) Sdn. Bhd. was a factory in 1989 when it first established. Due to the rapid growing of the company, the management had decided to change the existing man power system to automotive machine system. Hence the growth of the company moved from a small out fit to a standard industrial facilities factory. The management and staff had benefited by improving themselves in the new technology era, which will help them in their career in future as they move along with the growth of the company. Hence the increment in production of the company brings profit and recognisation in the timber market.

In 1996, as a leading company in timber industry, we moved towards the trend in our line of business by improving the production's quality and usage. A quality control team had been formed in maintaining and enhancing our production.

In the same year, as we move along with the trend in timber industry, we had invested RM 10 million in importing advance technology machinery from Europe and Japan. The establishment of the SLICE VENEER, FANCYPLY & MDF BOARD DEPARTMENT was one of the results of our vision in going along with the technology in this field. The team of workers in our departments are now having 70 members.
